Green Mill

The production line is made up of:

• Log Yard;
• Large Canadian break down saw for larger logs;
• Twin circular saw rig designed primarily to break down smaller type logs;
• Resaw Bench;
• Docking saw;
• Green chain;
• GOS Timber rack system with 1000-pigeonhole storage;
• Saw sharpening room;
• Waste wood chipper; and
• Sawdust and Woodchip storage.

The recovery rate of the green mill is currently around 37%. Of the green sawn output around 68% is sold as green timber with the remainder sent to the dry mill.

Saw Sharpener runs non stop sharpening saws for the: Twin Saw Log Edger Canadian Log Carriage And the No 1 Resaw Bench. In full swing cutting the abrasive specie Brush Box, up to 10 saws can be used in one day.
